Ancient herbs vs. common pill: major diabetes treatment showdown
NCT ID NCT07279909
Summary
This study is testing whether a capsule made from four traditional herbs can safely lower blood sugar in people with type 2 diabetes as effectively as the common medication metformin. It involves 500 adults who will take either the herbal capsule or metformin three times daily for six months. Researchers will track blood sugar levels, safety, and other health markers to see if the herbal treatment offers a comparable alternative.
