Ancient herbs vs. modern cough: can traditional remedies beat a placebo?
NCT ID NCT07420491
Summary
This study tested whether a tablet made from four traditional Indonesian herbs could relieve acute cough better than a placebo. 144 adults with a recent cough took either the herbal medicine or a dummy pill three times daily for one week. Researchers measured changes in cough severity and checked for side effects to see if the herbal treatment was safe and effective.
