Herbal treatment tested for silent brain damage linked to high blood pressure
NCT ID NCT07271732
Summary
This study will test whether Songling Xuemaikang capsules, a traditional Chinese herbal medicine, can help control cerebral small vessel disease in people with high blood pressure. Researchers will enroll 90 participants aged 55-75 who have both conditions and randomly assign them to receive either the capsules or a placebo for one year. The main goal is to see if the treatment reduces brain changes visible on MRI scans and improves symptoms like memory problems, anxiety, and sleep quality.
