New hope for hepatitis c patients who relapsed

NCT ID NCT01466192

Summary

This study tested whether adding a new drug called MP-424 to two standard hepatitis C medications could help patients who had previously relapsed after treatment. The trial involved 108 people with a specific type of hepatitis C (genotype 2) who had seen their infection return after earlier therapy. Researchers measured whether the three-drug combination could keep the virus undetectable long-term after treatment ended.
