New hope for hepatitis c patients who failed first treatment

NCT ID NCT01468584

Summary

This study tested whether adding a new drug called MP-424 to two standard hepatitis C medications could help patients who didn't respond to prior treatment. It involved 10 people with a specific type of hepatitis C (genotype 2) that had resisted earlier therapy. The goal was to see if this three-drug combination could clear the virus from their blood long-term.
