First seen Jan 26, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study compares giving heparin to all patients versus only when needed to prevent blockage of the radial artery after a heart catheterization. About 500 adults undergoing this procedure will be randomly assigned to one of two heparin strategies. The goal is to see if selective use can reduce complications and nursing time while still preventing artery occlusion.
