Hospital safety check: are blood thinner doses given correctly?
NCT ID NCT06096064
Summary
This study looked at how well hospital staff followed safety rules when giving a common blood thinner called heparin to patients. Researchers reviewed 100 adult patients who needed heparin for serious conditions like blood clots in the legs or lungs, or certain heart problems. The main goal was to check if the medication doses were adjusted correctly based on regular blood tests to keep patients in a safe range, avoiding both dangerous clots and bleeding.
