Blood thinner may boost success of reattached fingers

Summary
This study looks at whether giving a blood thinner called heparin through an IV can help reattached or reconnected fingers survive after a traumatic amputation. About 188 adults who have surgery to reattach a finger will either receive heparin or not. The main goal is to see if the finger is still alive when the patient leaves the hospital, and to check for side effects like bleeding.
