First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated Jun 09, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study looked at 150 people with early-stage kidney cancer who had surgery to remove part of their kidney. Researchers compared standard stitching alone versus adding a gel (FloSeal) or a sponge (Surgicel) to control bleeding. The goal was to see if these extra agents reduce bleeding, urine leaks, and cancer left behind after surgery.
