Surgery study aims to cut hemorrhoid pain

NCT ID NCT06884774

Summary

This study compared two surgical approaches for removing hemorrhoids. It tested whether adding a small cut in a muscle (sphincterotomy) during the main surgery helps reduce the severe pain patients often feel afterwards. The goal was to find which method leads to less pain and fewer problems like incontinence in the weeks following surgery.
