First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tests a new, less invasive way to treat bleeding hemorrhoids by blocking the artery that supplies them. It involves a small tube inserted through the wrist, done as a day case under local anesthetic. Twenty adults with grade II-IV hemorrhoids who prefer not to have surgery will be followed for two years to see if it safely reduces symptoms.
