No-Surgery solution for hemorrhoid bleeding tested across europe
NCT ID NCT07264413
Summary
This European study will test a minimally invasive procedure called hemorrhoid artery embolization (HAE) in 250 adults with bleeding hemorrhoids. The procedure uses tiny coils to block the blood vessels feeding the hemorrhoids, aiming to reduce bleeding without major surgery. Researchers will track how well it works in real-world clinics, measuring bleeding reduction, pain, recovery time, and quality of life over a year.
