Could a monthly blood cleanse help dialysis patients live longer?
NCT ID NCT07348913
Summary
This study looked back at 10 years of data from 879 patients on long-term dialysis. It aimed to see if adding a monthly blood-cleaning treatment, called hemoperfusion, could help patients live longer and reduce deaths from heart problems or strokes. Researchers compared patients who received the extra treatment to those who did not, matching them based on their health profiles.
