First seen May 06, 2026 · Last updated Jun 08, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tested two ways to treat infantile hemangioma (strawberry birthmarks) in 30 children aged 1 month to 12 years. One group took oral propranolol, while the other received a laser treatment that helps a topical beta-blocker (timolol) absorb into the skin. The goal was to see which approach works better and is safer for shrinking these growths.
