First seen Mar 17, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study compares three methods to help premature babies learn to eat by mouth: a special mouth exercise program, using a pacifier, or standard care. The goal is to see which approach helps babies feed fully by mouth sooner, gain weight better, and leave the hospital earlier. The study will include 150 stable preterm infants born between 26 and 32 weeks of pregnancy.
