First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study tests whether a special therapy, adapted for Hispanic families, can improve social communication and language in young autistic children (18-42 months old) from low-income backgrounds. Two versions of the therapy are compared: one that includes a technique called 'mutual gaze' and one that does not. The goal is to see which approach better helps children connect with others and develop everyday skills.
