Summary

This study tests whether a special technique called the 'mutual gaze procedure' helps improve social communication, language, and daily living skills in young Hispanic autistic children (18-42 months old) from low-income families. Two versions of a culturally adapted early intervention program will be compared—one with the gaze technique and one without. Families attend 16 sessions and three check-ups over several months.
