Shock waves vs. sugar injections: the battle for heel pain relief

Summary

This study aims to find out which of two treatments works better for long-lasting heel pain caused by plantar fasciitis. Researchers will compare dextrose prolotherapy (a type of injection) with extracorporeal shock wave therapy (a non-invasive sound wave treatment). The study will involve 60 adults who have had heel pain for over three months, measuring their pain and foot function over 12 weeks.
