New foot procedure aims to zap away stubborn heel pain
NCT ID NCT07395128
Summary
This small pilot study is testing whether a minimally invasive procedure can safely reduce chronic heel pain caused by plantar fasciitis. Doctors will temporarily block a small blood vessel in the foot to see if it eases pain for adults who haven't gotten better with standard treatments like physical therapy or medication. Participants will have the one-time procedure and then report their pain levels over a full year to see if the relief lasts.
