Grocery gains: can carrying shopping bags build muscle?
NCT ID NCT07271108
Summary
This study aimed to see if a simple, everyday activity—carrying heavy shopping bags—could help adults who don't do regular strength training. Researchers compared 45 inactive adults, with one group carrying bags twice a week and the other making no changes. They measured changes in muscle strength, power, and endurance to see if this could be a practical exercise recommendation.
