New heating cable could simplify cancer surgery chemotherapy

Summary
This study tested a special heating cable (Thermowire) to warm chemotherapy liquid directly inside the body during surgery for abdominal cancers. The goal was to see if this method is safe and works well, possibly replacing bulky external pumps. 13 adults scheduled for heated chemotherapy surgery took part.
