Hot chemo vs. aerosol spray: battle for better abdominal cancer treatment

NCT ID NCT07282834

Summary

This study aims to find the better way to treat cancer that has spread inside the abdomen. It will directly compare two existing methods: one that washes the abdomen with heated liquid chemotherapy during surgery, and another that sprays chemotherapy as a mist during a less invasive procedure. About 200 patients who have already tried standard chemotherapy will be randomly assigned to receive one of these two treatments to see which is safer, easier to tolerate, and more effective.
