Hot new hope for root canals: heated solution aims to kill more germs, hurt less

NCT ID NCT07420920

Summary

This study is testing if heating a common cleaning solution (sodium hypochlorite) directly inside the root canal during treatment is more effective at killing bacteria. Researchers will compare different heating methods in 36 adults with dead, non-painful teeth. The main goal is to see if this heated approach cleans the tooth better and also reduces pain after the procedure.
