Hot chemo bath tested to stop stomach Cancer's spread
NCT ID NCT05871099
Summary
This large Phase 3 trial is testing if washing the abdomen with heated chemotherapy during surgery helps people with advanced stomach cancer live longer. Researchers want to see if this extra step, added to standard surgery and chemotherapy, can better prevent the cancer from coming back or spreading inside the belly. About 616 patients will be randomly assigned to receive either the standard treatment or the standard treatment plus the heated chemotherapy wash.
