Hot chemo dose debate: does patient weight matter?

NCT ID NCT04779554

Summary

This study aims to find the best way to dose a heated chemotherapy treatment given directly into the abdomen during surgery for advanced gastrointestinal cancers that have spread. Researchers are comparing a standard flat dose to a dose based on a patient's body weight to see which one delivers effective treatment with fewer side effects. The trial will enroll 100 patients who are candidates for this specialized surgery and heated chemotherapy procedure.
