Scientists test 'Heating Up' tumors to boost cancer treatment

NCT ID NCT06546969

Summary

This early-stage study is testing whether adding two experimental treatments—deep heat therapy and a special type of radiation—to standard chemotherapy and immunotherapy is safe and feasible for people with advanced bile duct cancer that cannot be removed by surgery. The goal is to see if this combination can better control the cancer. The study will enroll about 15 participants to first check for serious side effects and see if the heat therapy can be delivered as planned.
