Summary

This study tests a program called HEATwise that helps people in Lake County, California, prepare for extreme heat. The program includes a workshop, one-on-one help, a community event, and a cooling kit. About 580 older adults, Tribal members, and people with limited resources will take part to see if the program reduces heat-related symptoms and builds resilience over 12 months.
