New ultrasound test could spot hidden heart damage
NCT ID NCT06648577
Summary
This study aims to understand if a new 3D ultrasound technique can detect heart muscle scarring as well as an MRI scan. Researchers will compare measurements from both tests in 40 patients with a leaky mitral valve heart condition. The goal is to see if ultrasound could eventually provide similar information about heart stiffness and damage without needing an MRI.
