New procedure offers hope for High-Risk heart patients, avoiding repeat Open-Heart surgery

NCT ID NCT07174531

Summary

This trial tested a new, less invasive procedure for people whose previously implanted artificial heart valves have worn out and who are at high risk for another major surgery. Doctors delivered a new valve through a catheter and placed it inside the old, failing one to restore proper function. The study aimed to see if this approach was safe and effective for 150 patients across multiple hospitals in China.
