Catheter heart fix aims to keep patients out of hospital
NCT ID NCT07197021
Summary
This study is testing whether a minimally invasive procedure to repair a leaky heart valve (mitral regurgitation) can help patients with moderate or stress-induced severe leaks stay out of the hospital. Researchers will compare the procedure plus standard medications against medications alone in 300 patients. The main goal is to see if the repair reduces the need for rehospitalization over two years.
