Safer, simpler heart check for elderly patients?

NCT ID NCT05750173

Summary

This study compared two methods for checking patients' heart arteries before a minimally invasive aortic valve replacement (TAVI). Researchers wanted to see if a CT scan (CTA) could safely replace the more invasive standard test (angiography) for patients aged 75 and older. The goal was to simplify the preparation process for this common procedure without compromising patient safety.
