New Heart-Pumping system put to the test in transplant registry

NCT ID NCT05047068

Summary

This study is collecting real-world data on a new system that keeps donor hearts pumping with warm blood before transplant. Researchers are comparing survival rates of patients who receive hearts preserved with this new system versus the traditional method of cold storage. The goal is to see if the new approach leads to better outcomes for heart transplant recipients.
