First seen May 06, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looked at how medical students evaluate heart transplant centers based on their donor acceptance rates. Researchers wanted to see if students prefer centers that accept most donor hearts or those that are more selective. 105 medical students from the University of Pittsburgh were shown different performance data and asked to choose which hospital they thought was better. The goal is to understand how presenting transplant data affects public perception.
