Medical students rate heart transplant centers: picky or accepting?

NCT ID NCT04176796

First seen May 06, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study looked at how medical students decide which heart transplant center is better. 105 students from the University of Pittsburgh were shown different information about two hospitals: one that accepts almost all donor hearts and one that only takes the best ones. The goal was to see if showing how often a center rejects hearts changes people's opinions. The study is complete and helps us understand how to present transplant center data more clearly.
