New blood test could help kids keep their transplanted hearts healthy

NCT ID NCT06532890

Summary

This study is testing a new type of blood test for children who have received a heart transplant. The test looks for tiny molecules called microRNAs, which might show how the child's immune system is responding. Researchers hope the test can help doctors predict if a child is at risk for infection or organ rejection, allowing for better management of their anti-rejection medications. The study will follow about 150 children for two years after their transplant.
