New heart scan aims to cut unnecessary procedures
NCT ID NCT07341932
Summary
This study is testing if a new type of heart scan called magnetocardiography (MCG) can help doctors make better decisions for patients with stable chest pain. About 1,300 participants will be randomly assigned to have their treatment guided by the new scan or by current standard methods. The main goal is to see if the scan-guided approach leads to fewer patients getting an invasive heart procedure when they don't actually need it.
