Trial seeks best lifesaving heart procedure for newborns

Summary
This study aims to find out which of two common heart procedures works better for newborns with a severe heart defect that limits blood flow to their lungs. 300 babies will be randomly assigned to receive either a traditional surgical shunt or a newer stent procedure. Researchers will follow the babies for their first year to see which group has fewer serious health problems or deaths.
