Heart surgery mystery: could blood flow explain Post-Op brain fog?

NCT ID NCT07483151

Summary

This study aims to understand if blood flow problems during heart surgery are linked to memory and thinking difficulties that can occur after the operation. Researchers will observe 110 adults having planned heart surgery, checking for signs of venous congestion (a type of blood backup) during the procedure. They will then see if patients who had this congestion are more likely to experience cognitive problems while recovering.
