Heart surgery study aims to protect Patients' brains

Summary

This study will compare two types of heart-lung machines used during coronary artery bypass surgery to see which one better maintains healthy blood flow and pressure to the brain. Researchers will enroll 70 patients and use special eye ultrasound and forehead sensors to measure brain pressure and oxygen levels during and after surgery. The goal is to gather information that could help reduce brain-related risks and improve recovery times after heart surgery.
