New drug aims to fix blood thinner problem in heart surgery
NCT ID NCT06096116
Summary
This study is testing a drug called Atenativ for adults having heart surgery using a heart-lung machine. Some patients don't respond well to the standard blood thinner (heparin) needed during this surgery, which can be dangerous. The trial will see if Atenativ can safely restore and maintain the body's proper response to the blood thinner during and after the operation.
