Scientists probe hidden heart damage in valve patients

NCT ID NCT05326126

Summary

This study aimed to understand how small blood vessels in the heart function in patients with severe aortic stenosis who receive a transcatheter aortic valve implant (TAVI). Researchers measured blood flow and looked for heart scarring in 75 patients to see if these factors are connected. The goal was to gather knowledge to potentially improve future care, not to test a new treatment.
