Heart study tests 'Leave nothing Behind' approach for clogged arteries
NCT ID NCT07038408
Summary
This study compares two newer approaches for treating blocked heart arteries in patients aged 18-68. One uses a drug-coated balloon that leaves no permanent implant, while the other uses a temporary scaffold that dissolves over time. Researchers want to see which approach keeps arteries open longer with fewer complications over 5 years of follow-up.
