New balloon treatment for clogged heart arteries under Long-Term watch

NCT ID NCT06678490

Summary

This study is collecting real-world safety and performance data on a special drug-coated balloon used to treat blocked heart arteries. Doctors are following 282 patients in Europe for three years after their procedure to see how well the treatment works over time and monitor for complications. Unlike a traditional stent, this balloon delivers medication to the artery and is then removed, aiming to keep the vessel open without leaving a permanent implant.
