Heart safety test: skipping pills before surgery?

NCT ID NCT06862115

Summary

This study aims to see if it's safe for patients to temporarily stop their common blood pressure medications (ACE inhibitors or ARBs) before major colorectal cancer surgery. Researchers want to know if stopping these drugs affects the risk of heart injury during and after the operation. About 156 adult patients with high blood pressure will be randomly assigned to either stop or continue their medication before surgery.
