Doctors track Kids' hearts to make psychiatric drugs safer
NCT ID NCT06870006
Summary
This study aims to better understand when to check children's heart rhythms for a rare but serious side effect linked to some psychiatric medications. Researchers will follow 100 children and teenagers starting these drugs, recording their heart activity at the start of treatment and again after 3, 6, and 12 months. The goal is to gather information to create clearer safety guidelines for doctors.
