New shot aims to tame hidden heart threat

NCT ID NCT07185776

Summary

This study is testing an investigational injection called HRS-5632 to see if it safely lowers high levels of a blood fat called lipoprotein(a), or Lp(a), which is linked to heart attack and stroke risk. It involves about 203 adults who are already at high risk for heart problems and have elevated Lp(a). Participants are randomly assigned to receive either the real injection or a placebo (dummy shot) to compare results.
