Heart attack survivors test new ablation to stop deadly rhythms

NCT ID NCT07240441

Summary

This study is testing if a more thorough heart ablation procedure works better than the standard one for controlling dangerous rapid heartbeats. It involves 220 people who have had a heart attack, have an implanted defibrillator, and still experience these fast rhythms. Researchers will randomly assign participants to receive either the standard internal ablation or a combined internal-and-external approach to see which is more effective and safer over two years.
