First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study aimed to see how hyperbaric oxygen therapy (breathing pure oxygen in a pressurized chamber) changes the heart's automatic control system in people with neurological injury. Researchers planned to measure heart rate patterns before and after treatment. Only 17 people were enrolled, and the study was stopped early, so results are limited.
