Can your heartbeat predict when You're ready to breathe on your own?

NCT ID NCT07455214

Summary

This study aims to see if measuring a patient's heart rate patterns can help doctors make better decisions about when to safely remove them from a breathing machine (ventilator). Researchers will enroll 100 critically ill adults who have been on a ventilator and are ready to try breathing on their own. They will combine heart rate data with standard medical checks to try to create a more reliable prediction tool.
