Heart pump under scrutiny to protect weak hearts during surgery

Summary
This study is collecting real-world data on the safety and effectiveness of a temporary heart pump called the Impella 5.5. It is used to support patients with severely weakened heart function who are undergoing major heart surgery. The goal is to see if the pump helps prevent heart failure after surgery and improves patients' recovery and quality of life.
